As we all know, it has now became more and more necessary to perform programming & coding services in the aftermarket than ever. e.g., replacing a module, replacing the existing software or firmware in the ECUs, fixing software-controlled drivability issues and emission issues, etc. There are two general types of programming operations:

● ECU Programming: MaxiSys Ultra comes with ECU Programming function on specific BMW and Benz models. It can program/reflash the ECU information after replacement or program the existing software/firmware.

● Advanced ECU Coding: Updating the computer software to the latest version, re-code adaptive data after repairs. There is one creative update: you can simulate the signals of various sensors and ECU modules, quickly troubleshoot hardware problems without replacing modules, which gives the accurate location of troubles and then you can make amendment.

4. Powerful 5-1 VCMI

MaxiSys Ultra VCMI interface has incorporated 5 instruments: Oscilloscope, Waveform Generator, Multimeter, Can BUS tester and VCI.

● VCI Communication: Dual Wi-Fi mode, one is for tablet connecting to VCI, the other one allows tablet connecting to Internet for software update and browser. Faster transmission speed, more stable, and better anti-interference ability (equivalent to USB communication), communication range reaches 164 feet / 50m, and diagnosis speed increases by 30%.

● Ultra-Precision Oscilloscope: Built-in Oscilloscope with 20MHz super bandwidth, transmission speed up to 80ms/s sampling rate, with accurate waveform acquisition, covering a peerless wide range of vehicles. 32M memory for complex signals, and allowing for amplification and playback waveform, supporting advanced edge triggering and pulse triggers.

● Waveform Generator: Producing electrical signals and analyze the performance of the vehicle hardware by varying the frequencies of different waveforms. MaxiSys Ultra has a large number of cloud preset cases, including the waveform wiring diagram of various sensors and actuators on the vehicle, the referential waveform, waveform analysis, fault codes analysis, intelligent one-click waveform setting etc.

5. D-PDU/J2534/RP1210 & CAN FD/DoIP Supported

● Support D-PDU/J2534/RP1210 Diagnostic Protocols: Autel MaxiSys Ultra supports API standard Communication Interface , with the Vehicle Communication Measurement Interface i.e. VCMI, we can perform OE-level diagnosis and programming for more accurate diagnosis and efficient car repair jobs to win more business!

● Support CAN FD/DoIP Protocols: CAN-FD Bus Protocol is a much more efficient way of data tranmission than CAN data transfer protocol, its speed can be up to 4.05Mbit, which is 14 times faster than CAN2.0A/B. DoIP is based on a branch of UDS (better than CAN protocol), it is the unified standard of Diagnostics that have more conformity with the development of intelligent vehicles and faster data transmission, the quickest data rate is up to 100Mbit /s.The speed of diagnosis is 100-200 times faster than CAN, and the network upload rate is 300-400 times than CAN diagnosis.

NOTE: The CAN FD/DoIP protocols are not universal to all the vehicles. The CAN-FD Bus protocol is applicable for GM models produced in the second half of 2019, and the DOIP protocol mainly supports Volvo after 2018, Land Rover/Jaguar after 2017, F chassis and G chassis BMW.

Autel Ultra is a bi-directional scanner that can send commands to the ECU to activate vehicle-specific subsystems and components like fuel pump, valves, injectors, solenoids, relay, AC Clutch, wipers, windows, doors, sunroofs and etc to perform tests like switching a solenoid, relay, EVAP test and etc.
